Goals and interest

As a musician, there are a lot things I am intrigued by. For instance, I am a fan of Billie Eilish, Zedd, Finneas, Conan Gray, Isaac Dunbar, and so much more. However, what I realized is that these people I support reveals why type of music I like. I prefer music that is pop, emotional, dark and electronic-like. I also like music that are more complex than just simple. Even though the things I mention are simple based on my interests, going into details, it also made me realize what I like about the artists I follow. It can be due to their voice, syncopation rhythms, instruments, lyrics or their background and beliefs.

Aside from my interests as a musician, there are also goals I have as well. For starters, in about 1 year or 2, I want to gain full knowledge and have an understanding of music theory. In 5 years, I want to release my first single. In about 10 years, I want to release my first album. With these goals I have in mind, they will lead me to my bigger goal and this to become a recognized independent song writer/producer/singer. These goals will help me become successful.

Even though I mentioned about my interests and goals, they manage to be related towards music business. My interests will help me learn about what genre I want to focus and what type of artist I want to become. Plus, it will help me figure out what my identity is as an artist. My goals will help me learn about how I can be successful as well as how I can achieve these goals by creating a chart and managing to keep track of my goals. That said, these goals and interests relate to music business since it helps you understand about your identity as an artist, how you can become successful, and how you can be able to release your work to your audience as well.
