Assignment #2

Based on this assignment, it has been interesting learning about MIDI and its historical background when it comes to music. Based on what it covered, it covered the basics parts of it and that was something I was already familiar of. So, this information is not new to me. That said, what really excites me in general is basically how MIDI is used to transport signals and that's what helps certain instruments get their sound and such. Not to mention, without it, there would not be a wide variety of sounds and music would be boring. With that being mentioned, another thing that was interesting to me was the standalone MIDI controller. I did not know this existed and is something I would be doing further research of.

Although everything was fine in terms of learning, that does not mean there were challenges. Personally, I feel like I did not struggle at all and everything was easy to understand. There is nothing much to complain or address. It felt plain and simple in general. So, this assignment was fun when it came to learning about the history and how it is implemented.
